I third that. He’s great- and all the Self Help From Sinai program rabbis have been quite interesting. I wish I knew how to download them.
He’s one of the rabbis from the Monmouth Torah Links Center on Route 9 in New Jersey. The number is 732-617-7117.

He is truly amazing, I had the pleasure of joining him for many shabbat meals. He is truly a scholar.

indeed, he is a scholar. And i have as well joined him for shabbis meals, his wife is an amazing cook.
i think it would be funny, if to prove the teaching of “let your house be open to all” he would post an invitation to THE WHOLE WORLD for a shabbat meal

Reb Yid—of course my house is open to all to partake of my wife’s delicious food & the sweetness of the Holy Shabbos. Come join us again sometimes soon!

hello “a yid”. perhaps before you suggest that the Rabbi take the doors off his house, consider do YOU invite people into your own home??
I think it’s pretty cool the way Rabbi pulls all this practical advice for contemporary settings from these “ancient texts”.
It almost sounds as if he takes a lesson and “blames it” on the mishne
are there sources for these lessons?

a common thread there seems to be about these Rabbis is that they are not trying to be flashy or put on a hyped up show, they seem to have a certain realness and sincerity.
Refreshing to hear, somewhat rare in today’s day and age, unfourtunately perhaps even among Rabbis.
BTW did anyone catch that Russian story from R’ Landau- very cute, nice lesson too.
